Our client is a well-respected and growing niche SME that provides healthcare equipment throughout Ireland. Their strong reputation is for products that are used in patient moving and handling, community care and healthcare facilities. That reputation is built on quality products, great service, knowledge and advice of their Product Specialists and back up for all products sold.

To help meet and accelerate this growth, they’re looking for a Product Specialist that can meet with healthcare professionals and clients, conduct product demonstrations and assessments. The objective is to increase sales and develop the significant existing customer base. They are open to a newcomer to the sector providing that you have the necessary transferable skills, attitude and ethics. Likewise, a proven sector professional is also welcome. The salary will be tailored to attract and retain with an excellent commission structure that rewards well, including a genuine commission circa €30k +.

It is envisaged that this will be a career move for someone keen to develop their career in the sector across a territory which will be tweaked to suit their home location. It can be described as an autonomous role that will be given the full backing and support of a highly experienced team from a key supplier to the market. Hence it suits a person who is self-motivated and structured in their approach. A person who wants to become a ‘Go To’ professional.

The role requires a combination skillset. Active in developing new business but with soft, consultative selling skills. Someone able to work with a variety of clients and end-users, as well as clinical professionals in community care. Ultimately, to become a trusted, professional Product Specialist.

To be successful, your personal characteristics will include professionalism, walk in the room credibility, self-motivation, and a considered, structured commercial astuteness. Enthusiasm and an energetic demeanor will also be key.
