Our client is a niche SME with a highly respected and well-known team selling medical / healthcare products. They’re well established, growing and hold an enviable place on various NHS contracts and frameworks. What they need is a professional salesperson who can identify and develop new business opportunities from this. Someone who can open doors and build solid, ongoing relationships. A salesperson who is happy dealing with clinical professionals and community care providers as well as procurement. This will include hospitals, care facilities and clinicians such as Occupational Therapists.
The territory is a swathe across the middle of England which is already producing significant revenue. Therefore, to accelerate this growth, they need someone with strong business acumen and the ability to analyse, identify opportunities and focus their sales efforts in a structured manner to ensure delivery of both short-term and long-term sustainable growth. Customer relations, time management and strong organisational skills are needed. Familiarity with NHS procurement and charitable organisations, together with frameworks and contracts would also be beneficial.
The successful candidate will already have several years of successful sales experience in a consultative sales role and a track record they can be proud of. The successful applicant will probably be based in the central Midlands of England with good access to motorways and the road network.
To be successful, your characteristics will include professionalism, walk-in-the-room credibility, self-motivation, and a considered structured commercial astuteness. Enthusiasm and an energetic demeanour will also be key.
