Our client is a renowned, market-leading multi-national manufacturer of equipment used in hospitals. As an employer they provide excellent training and very good working conditions. An additional Service Engineer is now needed to join them in the West / Galway region. A person who will travel direct from home each day, to their hospital customers in the region. Albeit a high level of autonomy with this role, it is part of a bigger national team of engineers. Each engineer has a clearly defined territory so as to ensure minimal drive/journey times to and from home each day.
The successful candidate may be someone who is not currently employed in the medical sector but is technically competent and happy working on customer sites with electromechanical equipment. Importantly, they must also possess the right soft skills in dealing with people as they are quite literally the face of the company for many customers.
Applications are welcome from people of varying backgrounds that have transferable skills servicing and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment, dealing with software upgrades, PCB replacements, fault finding and regularly scheduled maintenance. All with high regard for customer relationships and company reputation.
